Presentation of Morgon “L’Evêque” – Red – Domaine Ruet

The Morgon "L'Evêque" from Domaine Ruet is a rich wine with fine tannins. On the palate we find forest fruits, pepper and spices. With a round and fresh final note. The proposed vintage comes from vines aged 60 to 65 years. A generous Morgon with fruit and chew. A wine that goes very well with red meat, game, duck and cheese.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Seven appellations throughout Beaujolais and all owned since 1926. There are the granite, stony and shallow soils of North Beaujolais, characterized by their ability to produce high quality wines. Each plot is taken care of, nothing is left to chance. The implementation of sustainable production clearly demonstrates the desire to respect the environment, natural regulation and observation. David, the winemaker ( recognized twice as winemaker of the year by the Rvf on 2 different estates ) practices clean viticulture, harvested entirely by hand, and lets the terroir of each vintage speak. The estate now has 20 ha in HVE3 , and in organic conversion for its whites. It also produces Beaujolais Nouveaux without added sulfur as well as a very good Crémant de Bourgogne.

FOOD AND WINE

It is enjoyed with meats in sauces, game and cheeses, duck breast and cheese.
