Litchi Honey from Compagnie du Miel is a very floral honey with notes of rose and lychee. It is harvested in October in the Manakara region of southeastern Madagascar . After a long journey from China via the Indian route, the Litchi found welcoming soil in Madagascar on which to establish itself. Hard hit by droughts, this majestic and honey-producing tree nonetheless remains very popular with bees who do not hesitate to travel miles to collect its flowers.
BRAND HISTORY
Marked by poverty in Madagascar and already very committed on their own, Gaël and Thibaut decided to launch the Compagnie du Miel in 2017 with the aim of placing the social and ecological vocation at the heart of the company's commitments. They are in fact convinced that sustainable ecological development cannot exist without giving priority to social development. The Compagnie du Miel team works between France and Madagascar , around common values and passions. Each member of the group feels invested in a mission: to protect the forest! The social and environmental potential of the project is what encourages everyone to work within the Compagnie du Miel. Madagascar, also called “The Red Island” leaves no one indifferent.
