Presentation Rochefort 10
Rochefort 10 beer is a Belgian Trappist beer, which will delight the palates of lovers of quadruple beers with notes of plum and cocoa. Rochefort 10 beer has a beautiful dark brown color with a light beige foam. On the nose we discover caramelized notes of plum and cocoa. The mouth reveals an almost caramelized sweet beer. Mellow flavors, with fruity notes of ripe plum and cocoa. Its full, spicy and slightly acrid taste is unique. The bitterness is low and gives way to both malty and fruity flavors. Despite its high alcohol content, it is a beer that remains balanced when tasting. It is the ideal beer for all Trappist beer lovers.
History of the brewery
Brasserie Rochefort is located in the Notre Dame de Saint Rémy abbey in Belgium, which has around twenty Trappist monks, several of whom work at the brewery. Created in 1595, the abbey began brewing in Rochefort in the middle of the 20th century. These Trappist monks produce high quality beers, the water used comes from a source close to the abbey and the yeast used is unique and specific to the brewery which has its own strain. The Brewery offers a whole range of Trappist beer, in the pure Belgian tradition, Rochefort 6, Rochefort 8 and Rochefort 10 which is the Trappist beer with the highest alcohol content. The numbers 6, 8 and 10 come from the old unit of measurement for alcohol content.
