Presentation of The Wild Alps – Maund Rum 12 years – Jamaican Rum 12 years old – Switzerland

Maund Rum is a Blend made from 3 Jamaican rums , each having aged a minimum of 12 years in Bourbon barrels. The Swiss distillery The Wild Alps then carried out the blending and carried out the “finish” (several months in oak barrels) in the heart of the Alps. This Jamaican Rum has a pretty deep caramel color. The nose is very aromatic with sweet spices, cinnamon, vanilla, dried fruits, almond and coffee. In the mouth, all this complex and powerful bouquet coats the palate in a round substance which brings a lot of sweetness to its endless finish! This Maund Rum 12 years from the artisanal distillery The Wild Alps is truly an exceptional rum , awarded several times and being voted best rum in Switzerland in 2016.


The Wild Alps is a distillery located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in a unique wilderness region. After more than 20 years specializing in the art of distillation, this small artisanal distillery has also launched into the art of aging and "finishing" by also offering a very confidential Whiskey and a Jamaican Rum (or Rum ). The Wild Alps also offers a very pure Vodka and a very aromatic Gin made with wild herbs picked in the Swiss Alps. This Swiss quality and rigor has earned them numerous awards!
