Champagne Pertois-Lebrun – The Extrovert – Blanc de Blancs

Sale price 39,00 €

L'Extravertie reflects all the finesse and elegance of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, offering a joyful and refined tasting experience. This Pertois-Lebrun Champagne invites you to a true moment of pleasure and discovery, where the terroir and the estate's expertise are fully expressed.

On the nose, it seduces with its brioche and buttery notes, opening up to chalky nuances, enhanced by grapefruit and white-fleshed fruits, such as Granny Smith apple. The attack on the palate is supple and fresh, carried by a fine and integrated effervescence. The pulpy fruit mingles with a lemony acidity and a delicately creamy, chalky minerality, offering balance, elegance, and harmony. The long and lingering finish completes this cuvée of great character.

Respectful of the environment, L'Extravertie is crafted using sustainable practices: mechanical soil cultivation, organic treatments, aromatherapy, and biodynamic principles, to enhance the purity of the terroir. With a dosage of only 3 g/liter , this extra-brut champagne captivates with its freshness and precision.

A refined, expressive and naturally elegant vintage, true to the spirit of Domaine Pertois-Lebrun .

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

The story of Pertois-Lebrun is one of a family passion rooted in the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs, in the village of Cramant (Champagne). From the beginning of the 20th century, several generations of winemakers cultivated vines there — but it was in1955The house officially came into being when Paul Pertois (winemaker in Cramant) and Françoise Lebrun (winemaker in Mesnil-sur-Oger) decided to unite their vineyards and their know-how to create an estate in their name.

Since then, the estate has spanned decades, passing on a winemaking and family heritage—with each generation bringing a little more dedication, care, and respect for the terroir. Today, their grandchildren, Clément Bouret and Antoine Bouret, embody thefifth generationat the helm of the estate.

Under their guidance, Pertois-Lebrun cultivated nearly9.7 hectaresvineyards spread across several prestigious villages — five Grand Cru villages (including Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, Oiry, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) as well as a few Premier Cru parcels — spread across44 separate plots.

But beyond its heritage, the house has evolved with the times: since 2020, the vineyard has been inconversion to organic farmingwith the aim of producing purer champagnes, respectful of the environment, revealing the best expression of the terroir.

In their approach, Clément and Antoine made the choice ofSobriety, sincerity, and authenticity: parcel fermentations, measured vinifications, diversified aging (stainless steel tanks, concrete, foudres, amphorae or old oak barrels), without fining, without filtration, with a reduced dosage — all these principles aim to let the minerality, freshness and finesse of the Champagne chardonnay express itself.

Today, Pertois-Lebrun embodies a contemporary vision of Champagne: that of a family estate, attentive to nature and faithful to its heritage, but open to innovation and modernity. Each bottle is the fruit of a unique terroir, patient work, and a history passed down from generation to generation.
