Presentation of Domaine Etienne Simonis Alsace Pinot Gris 2015

On this vintage, Etienne Simonis highlights the typicality of Pinot Gris, an emblematic grape variety of his region of Alsace , while respecting the principles of Biodynamics . The color is deep yellow evolving towards a golden hue. The nose of this Alsace Pinot Gris from Domaine Etienne Simonis is fruity with pear, apricot and dried fruits. The palate transcribes the aromas present on the nose with lots of roundness and notes evoking honey and roasted hazelnut. Here is a tender and charming dry white wine from Alsace that will accompany you easily at the table!

History of the estate

It is since the 17th century that the family Simonis cultivates its vines in Ammerschwihr, in Alsace. Today it's Etienne Simonis who is at the head of the family estate of 7 hectares fully certified in Biodynamics (DEMETER) since 2011 (although chemicals have not been used since 2000). THE white wines from Alsace being strongly influenced by their terroirs and their grape varieties, Etienne Simonis offers a wide range of wines that are very different from each other. That you are rather Riesling , Pinot Gris or Gewurztraminer you will definitely find the wine you need! The domain Etienne Simonis also produces an excellent Riesling Grand Cru Kaefferkopf and a confidential Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tarvives for the most demanding enthusiasts! Note: all Etienne Simonis wines are equally Vegan .
