Presentation of Domaine Sorin Coquard, Cuvée Madeleine, Côtes d’Auxerre

Discover the Madeleine vintage , a red wine from Burgundy. Domaine Sorin Coquard sublimates Pinot Noir with this Côtes d’Auxerre vintage. The wine has a beautiful ruby color. On the nose, we discover notes of fresh fruit and undergrowth. On the palate, the Madeleine vintage is intense, with notes of morello cherry, strawberries and toasted hazelnuts brought by barrel aging. The tannins are melted and supple. It is a wine full of elegance with good length.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

A winemaker for several generations, the Sorin-Coquard estate now operates 25 hectares in the town of Saint Bris le Vineux, spread across the Burgundy Côtes d'Auxerre red, white and rosé, Bourgogne Aligoté, Saint Bris and Irancy appellations. The family farm mainly produces wines on clay-limestone soils which give the wines a beautiful freshness as well as great minerality .

FOOD AND WINE

Ideal to accompany a nice piece of meat, with coq au vin, duck breast, beef tournedos, pan-fried porcini mushrooms, etc.
