Presentation of Domaine de Joÿ – Saint André - Côtes de Gascogne White Moelleux

This Saint André vintage is the flagship vintage of Domaine de Joÿ which will delight lovers of sweet white wines from Gascony . The color is light yellow with gold reflections. The nose is very aromatic, with exotic fruits, mango, lychee, pineapple and citrus fruits such as pink grapefruit. On the palate, we find the fruits present on the nose, with lots of roundness and just enough sugar to appreciate the tangy finish. The well-controlled sugar/acidity balance makes this Saint André cuvée from Domaine de Joÿ both light and delicious! Drink with foie gras from the South-West for a successful regional pairing!

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Like the vast majority of estates in Gascony, the history of Domaine de Joÿ begins with a mixed farming and breeding activity. In love with this region and established since the beginning of the century, the Gessler family , of Swiss origin, gradually abandoned mixed farming and dedicated the entire Domaine de Joÿ to the cultivation of vines. Today it’s Olivier, Vanessa, Gaël and Kévin Gessler who took the helm of the family business, bringing their dynamism and youth to the service of their production of IGP Côte de Gascogne wines And d'Armagnacs (Bas-Armagnacs) recognized throughout the world as being among the best in the region. The Joÿ estate, a follower of sustainable agriculture since 2005, has been certified in High Environmental Value (HVE level 3) since the beginning of 2019.
