Presentation of Domaine La Ligière, Vacqueyras - Red

The red Vacqueyras from Domaine de la Ligière is the ideal organic wine for lovers of the Rhône Valley. Its color is ruby with beautiful reflections. On the nose we discover a complex wine with notes of red fruits and spices. On the palate we enjoy tasting a powerful wine balanced by supple tannins. Flavors of red fruits (cherry and blackcurrant) mingle with notes of spices typical of the region. It is a well-structured wine that can be enjoyed now or aged for a few years.

History of the estate

Domaine La Ligière is a family estate created in the 1950s by Maurice Bernard, the grandfather of the current owner. In 2008 Elizabeht and Philipe Bernard took over the vineyard and decided to create their own wine cellar by requesting Organic Agriculture certification. The vines have been cultivated without fertilizer or weedkiller for more than 10 years. Biodynamic preparations are also used to strengthen the vine. Located on an arid terroir very exposed to the Mistral, Domaine La Ligière is mainly composed of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, emblematic grape varieties of the region. He thus offers us a superb organic red Vacqueyras, powerful and balanced.
