Ferroni, Brut de Fût Rum, Barbados 2012
As the name of the series so clearly indicates, these bottlings are made in "Brut de Fût"... What comes out of the barrel is bottled directly without any reduction, filtering or addition of any kind. It is on the island of Barbados in the Foursquare distillery that this vintage molasses rum comes from . It is then imported to Château des Creissauds. Aged in Bourbon barrels with a one-year finish in VDN Rasteau barrels. The nose is rich and deep while developing a remarkable freshness. On the palate, aromas of red fruits, evolving into more woody notes. Notes of tobacco are also present. Coffee, cracked match, caramelized notes.
