Raw Burgundy Honey from Manufacture du Miel has a powerful and pleasant taste. It is made by bees from flowers from the forests of Burgundy. We find pollen from brambles, knapweeds, cistaceae, rosaceae, brassicaceae, tree heather, white clover, etc. This complex forage gives woody flavors of undergrowth, with notes of red fruits, of a strong intensity which persists in the mouth. Flowering takes place in June-July. Burgundy raw honey is dark amber, golden in color. Then its fine crystallization gives it a light brown color. Its texture is from a creamy velvet to finely crystallized. Rich in trace elements (potassium, calcium and manganese), honey has antiseptic, diuretic, toning and fortifying properties. Flavonoids, an important source of antioxidants, as well as farnesol (active ingredient), are responsible for the soothing effect of this type of honey. These compounds act on the receptors in the brain responsible for sleep.
