Gin is a spirit made from grain or molasses which has been flavored either by maceration or by infusion of alcohol mainly with juniper berries but also with spices, aromatics and herbs, or which has been artificially flavored.

As dry Gin has a very strong taste, it is rarely consumed alone and is instead served in cocktails. The Gin Tonic, the Dry Martini, the Tom Collins, the Gin Fizz,... will enhance this drink dating from the Middle Ages.
