Want to taste a gourmet and light red wine, discover the Rien ne m'effraie cuvée from Domaine La chouette du Chai. Awarded a 91/100 by the Revue du Vin de France, this organic red wine in AOC Pic Saint Loup is the expression of its terroir. A deep red color. The fresh nose expresses notes of scrubland, sweet spices, cinnamon and cardamom. The mouth is full, in balance. A very soft attack, fat and firm tannins which give a nice rebound to the whole. A finish on vegetal notes, liquorice stick and zan. A tonic and balanced wine. Both light and deep, it is a wine that will please all lovers of beautiful Languedoc nuggets.
HISTORY OF THE DOMAIN
Created in 2014, on land untouched by any exploitation, the Domaine de la Chouette du Chai is located in one of the wildest landscapes of Pic Saint Loup, in Figarède in Languedoc. On a terroir where plants and minerals mingle, the winemaker expresses all her creativity and know-how. Registered in an environmentally friendly approach, Sylvie collaborates with nature and works organically and biodynamically. She offers wines full of character, reflections of the terroir so typical of Pic Saint-Loup. Art lovers, Sylvie and her husband made a bold choice of visual identity with the Owl as their totem animal.
