Presentation Ferroni, Pastis Château Des Creissauds Vintage 2022
Château des Creissauds vintage Pastis is made from fresh plants grown and harvested on the Domaine des Creissauds , in Provence in Aubagne.
Between May and September, the plants are harvested fresh and macerated immediately (so as to preserve all their aromas) and isolated in superfine alcohol for several weeks.
All the macerates are then assembled to be aged in casks for approximately 6 to 10 months. Like great wines, each harvest brings different nuances due to climatic variations. This is why Pastis Château des Creissauds is vintaged in order to allow the natural variations of the terroir to express themselves freely.
HISTORY OF THE DISTILLERY
Installed at Château des Creissauds, the Ferroni Distillery has gradually transformed into a site for the development and production of high-end French spirits combining history, cultural heritage and natural riches.
On the estate, fresh plants are grown or harvested in the wild to produce the House's high-end pastis. Rum, whiskey, gin and liqueurs enjoy happy days alongside forgotten, reissued alcohols, such as Ratafia de Marseille, which has become a must-have for the end-of-year celebrations.
Guillaume Ferroni is a creator, passionate about history which he uses to develop his new creations. He has managed to modernize old recipes, a real pleasure for the taste buds.
INFORMATION
Appellation: Pastis
Composition: Pastis is the aniseed spirit drink which also contains natural extracts from liquorice wood. Minimum alcoholic strength = 40% vol.
Anethole content (star anise essence) between 1.5 and 2 g per liter – Sugar content less than 100 g per liter. Pastis de Marseille is a Pastis with an anethole content = 2 g per liter and a minimum alcoholic strength = 45% vol.
In Pastis as in Pastis de Marseille, only certain well-defined natural flavoring substances and preparations can be used in their preparation.
