Presentation of Chestnut Honey 250g - Manufacture du Miel
Chestnut Honey from Manufacture du Miel is a robust, spicy, woody honey, which can even have a slight bitterness on the finish. It has long been ignored by amateurs, often finding it too powerful. Today, it is one of the most sought-after honeys. The smell is marked, warm and deep as soon as the jar is opened, from which a pronounced acrid scent emerges, both strong and sweet. It is long in the mouth. Chestnut honey is dark, a dark brown. Like acacia, it is one of the rare honeys to keep a liquid texture for a long time. Due to its fructose content, chestnut honey does not crystallize or only slowly. Chestnut honey is rich in vitamins B and C, minerals and trace elements (potassium, magnesium, manganese and barium). Above all, it is one of the honeys richest in iron and calcium. The specific benefits of chestnut honey are to facilitate blood circulation, to be anti-anemic, to facilitate the healing of wounds and injuries and to slow down the aging of cells, thanks to its antioxidant content.
BRAND HISTORY
La Manufacture du Miel - Beekeeper-Harvester since 2010 , presents 6 exceptional honeys from its hives spread from Provence to Burgundy.
La Manufacture du Miel, created in 2010, has a thousand hives spread over preserved areas from Provence to Burgundy.
In 2014, aware of the mortality of bees, Thierry Dufresne, founder of La Manufacture du Miel, created the French Apidology Observatory. The OFA acts to safeguard bees, which are essential to life, to preserve biodiversity and to our food security. The traceability and analysis of the 8 honeys (available here ) guarantee the absence of questionable substances (pesticides, heavy metals) and total respect for bees and the environment.
RECIPES
Chestnut honey is one of the most used honeys in cooking, along with acacia honey. Its liquid texture makes it easy to mix in preparations. The particularities of its full-bodied, woody, persistent flavors make it possible to pleasantly flavor recipes. It will replace white sugar while giving a stronger taste. Chestnut honey remains the essential ingredient in the gingerbread recipe.
