Presentation of Domaine de la Barbinière - Les Silex - White

Discover the Les Silex Blanc vintage from Domaine de la Barbinière. This Loire white wine is made from a blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. Typically Vendée, it is an elegant wine, full of finesse. On the nose, we discover notes of white flowers and citrus zest. On the palate, we appreciate a mineral, well-balanced wine. The aromas of white fruits and pears are well balanced in a mouth full and rich in flavors. This wine can be drunk as an aperitif and will feel at home with ocean or river products (seafood, fish), and, evolving, with cheeses (goat cheese, etc.) and fish in sauces.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Philippe Orion created Domaine La Barbinière in 1978 on his father's existing 2 hectares of vines. In 2005 his sons took over the estate and worked to have their know-how recognized. In 2011, Chantonnay was finally recognized as the new AOC Fiefs Vendéens. The winegrowers have been cultivating the vines organically since 2015. They offer us elegant and fresh wines. These organic wines will be perfect for all your moments of conviviality.
