Presentation of Domaine Fontavin - Gigondas Combe Sauvage

The Gigondas Combe Sauvage from Domaine Fontavin comes from a terroir in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail, at an altitude of 400 m. A garnet color with purple highlights. A nose of scrubland and aromatic plants (rosemary, thyme). A lively, peppery palate with aromas of spices and small black fruits. The tight tannins give remarkable density to this Gigondas. To be enjoyed with a good spicy dish to appreciate all the flavors.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Like every beautiful story, there is first a love story. That of Martine CLERC and Michel CHOUVET began in the 1970s. Martine comes from Violès, Michel from Bédarrides, they each put vines and the same passion for their profession in their wedding basket. Their dream of independence took shape as the property expanded and became reality with the creation of the " Domaine de Fontavin " cellar in 1989. Following in the footsteps of her father, Hélène CHOUVET COTON , who had become an oenologist, joined his parents in 1996. She then charted her own path by managing the estate.
